Joyce Martin's "Down Home Farm"

100 Whitcomb Way, Placerville

This property is a plein air artist's dream. There are many subjects to choose from: a pond, bridge, gardens, antique decor, many flowers, ducks & geese. Some of us have been there several times and still find something new to paint!

Directions: From Hwy 50, take El Dorado Road exit south about a mile. Turn right on Whitcomb Way (which is parallel to Silver Lode Rd., and just before Mother Lode Dr.). Follow Whitcomb to the end #100 Down Home Farm.

Paint Out at
Marshall Gold Discovery Park, Coloma.
We will join the California Art Club for a Paint Out
310 Back Street, Coloma, CA 95613

This paint/sculpt-out location is adjacent to the American River in the historic town of Coloma where the California gold rush started. The site has historic churches, post office, Chinese store, and other gold rush era buildings; majestic trees, river vistas, and high rolling hills.

The state park charges $10 for parking ($9 for seniors)
Their sign-in table will be next to the Sawmill Parking Lot. Look for the California Art Club sign.
They plan to gather after painting at the outdoor tables behind the Argonaunt Farm Cafe for a no-host lunch. Food may be purchased from the Argonaunt Cafe or bring your own lunch. This will be a time to share our paintings and visit with each other.
